Now that I’ll be spending most of my time in GZ, here’ the list of top 5 items that I’ll miss and will look forward to whenever I am in Seoul:

  1. My Korean Family – The Filipino community in Hyewha-dong, I did not happen to meet a lot of friends but I can count on the ones that I got, thru thick and thin.  My Korean officemates and boss are awesome and real nice people, they are very professional in looks and attitude. The men even come to office everyday in their coat and tie. I’ll be missing our daily supply of fruit juices, lavazza coffee and pizzas on Monday’s meeting.
  2. Taebaek Beef- Cows that are raised in the pollution-free highlands, far superior and more expensive than NZ and US beef. Making it the tastiest beef you can ever devour.
  3. Korean Ice cream & Pastries – lots of flavors and choices and I love them all! Crown choco pies, Teus le jour cakes, Paris Baguette pies and dessert. Korean desserts are a real treat, as they have lots of European influences.
  4. Four Season weather – I am not sure if I’ll be able to experience all four seasons during my business trips. Nice to see nature transform as the weather change – colorful trees in autumn, snow capped pine trees in winter and lots and lots of colorful flowers and cherry blossoms in spring.
  5. High speed internet – at almost 4 MBPS there’s hardly any waiting time for movies to play / videos to download.

But I’ll look forward to new adventures in China J , I have learned a few new traditions on how to celebrate the Lunar New Year. I got to spend the Chinese New Year in China this year, but that’s another story to tell on my next post…till then…
